Mapping features are built in to Geves. This means that just by typing
a placename onto a source document, or directly into an event, you
can see when and where it happened on a map. You do not need to enter its
longitude or latitude, this is done for you.
The places relating to a person, a group or people (e.g. everyone on an ancestor
chart) or the places on a source document can be shown automatically.
Currently there is detailed historical mapping of England, Wales and
Scotland which include county changes since 1760 and a gazetteer of 30000
place names.
There are also country maps of the world.
